One whole riverside scene, woven end to end and mirrored from each end to the middle: palaces with striped onion domes step down to a black river with ducks and lotus flowers, a sky-blue elephant carries its howdah past women in striped saris, and coral blossom trees and tall palms fill the sky with birds. A border of tiny deer, horses and ducks runs all the way round. The picture is woven into the cloth, not printed; on the reverse the scene turns warmer, in magenta and orange. Fine wool, 100 × 200 cm.
